Writing put to the test...

oooohhh my!

hello everybody,

As a lot of you know or are aware....I love and like to write. True, sometimes its long winded for the particular topic as well as I sometimes go off tangents. Yet, in this case I try to show examples and explain in details.

Yet, at work last night my writing was put to a test. Both a test in being both both short and concise and also explanatory at the same time. The test also included the challege or helping out out some of my coworkers with their writing too.

Both George, who I call Grumpy...because he is a lot of times... and also Rajalio(pronounced as Ra-hee-leeeo) and I were required to write out our perfomance assessments.
Every year and all the permanent employees are required to do this for any promotions, honors and hopefully for both variable pay and salary or pay increases. Crossing my fingers.
We are supposed to log on to the system and do our performance assessments. The due date is tonite to finish them up. One of our supervisors came over to help us all out.
Both Rajalio and Grumpy..I mean George were both stumped and had difficulty doing their assessments. Our supervisor was at a loss but the mousey took charge, squeaked on the scene and took the initiative. I helped them both out. I told my supervisor that I would help them write out their assessments. And also that I love to write. She was happy and very thankful.
Now, one of my tests or challenges was getting into their skins...so to speak. I eventually did as I know some of their work habits, attitudes, and personalities. I placed myself in their shoes and tried to identify and role play them as I wrote out their assessments.
The test was good and successful as trying to get to know and understand them better and what motivates them and why they do as what they do and say too.
The second test was much harder but successful too. The assessment had three parts and each part had some questions of which we were to personally answer. However, we could only answer each section with only 600 characters or letters.
It was a struggle for me but I shortened down the answers and information as I played out each person inorder to help write their assessments. Most or a lot of the comments and answers wre indeed short, concise and informative and suited to the personality of the person involved.

Of course, I had each person...both George and Rajalio check out and read their assessments. They agreed and liked them. Then I had each one of them click the submit button for their respective performance assessment.

While I was doing theirs..I was also doing mine too.

Yes, mission impossible became mission possible and realized. true.

cheers,
