CompUSA closing!!

yes, with sadness the company is closing a lot of
stores to save expenses and enhance profits.
um Go Walmart and Best Buy!!!

also, the local CompUsa on Blossom Hill is closing too.
The one behind Juicy Burger and Kentucky Fried Chicken. And across the ways a little from the Marie Callendar restaurant. I don't know when this store will close. Maybe in a few months. A lot of things are up to 30 percent off. Inventory clearance.
I'm sad and shocked. Just as I was shocked and sad
when I went over to this same area many years ago and found out that the Blossom Hill 4 theater closed down
and this computer store called CompUSA was put up.
At that time...I still had my Apple IIe home computer.
Now, things are different but are the same. I wonder if anything will be put in its place.

I also wonder if I should go there now and get my HP computer upgraded there or just get it upgraded over
at Best Buy.
Or just buy a new computer altogether and hopefully with
a remnant of Windows XP and away from the evil Vista.

hmmmmnnnnn....with products up to 30 percent off
or more as the days and weeks pass.. I 'll just purchase
a dang 3d video card and install it myself. A Nvidia FX 5200 with 128 mb of video memory.
I'm thumbs with hardware and installing it...I can even get a friend to do it or even take it into a comp tech service to do it.

cheers

I've got the same video card as the one you mentioned, It was included with the PC when I got it, and is still going strong and as quick as the day I got it.

steve and stealth,

you know what I was thinking of doing.
Just thinking about it....but, buying
the 3d card(FX 5200 or better) and the required
memory and at the percentage discount at CompUSA
and then either upgrading it myself-->although
I'm literally all thumbs down!! when it comes
to installing hardware. Soooooooooo....taking
it over to either Best Buy or Frys' Electronics
and having one or the other upgrade my HP.
Now, if at Best Buy...I already have a $50 gift certificate.

nV FX cards are utterly pants. You could get something much better for the same or little more money, some GeForce 7 or something.
