Mountain Climbers!!

well not actually hiking up or climbing
a hill or moutain. But it sure feels like it.

I discovered this new exercise. Well, new exercise for
me and perhaps for you too. I was watching youtube videos
on weightlifting, isometric exercises, calistenics,
and also on martial arts training and conditioning too.

Try out this exercise. But only do a few reps...as the fitness instructor said in the video when first starting out.
First, get your butt up from and away from the computer.
Stop playing your game, or doing your coding, or even your studying and revising too.

Second, get into a push up position and start from the top end. Or for a much more advanced and harder exercise...
start in a middle push up stance. Now, bring up your first leg and curl it to your stomach or abs. Bring it or extend it out again. Then the same with your other leg.
Alternate between legs.
Don't do them too fast nor too slow. Probably around medium pace. But suit it to your own pace and style too.

Whewwwwww!! When I first did it...my whole body felt weird and strange. Especially my abs and stomach. Like an alien baby creature was in my belly ready to pop open like in the first Alien movie.
I did only 3 reps between each leg. But its like doing reverse sit ups, bench pressing your own weight, and also like an isometric push up and truly like you're actually mountain climbing.
whoa!! no wonder its called Mountain Climbers.

Try it out and see for yourself.

cheers

hoboben,

Still walking from time to time? One of the best
around and all time exercises.

before your walking....you can do these and some
other calistenics and isometrics too. Like both
isometric and 45 degree lunges. And also some side
bends and standing leg ups too.

and cheers too.

I'll be walking home tomorrow (well, today, as it's early morning now), after the English exam, and maybe I'll walk there too.

I haven't left the house much at all for two weeks - doing crazy things like sleeping 32 hours at a time in-between programming and Tremulous for Linux

But, the warm-up exercises are a great idea, otherwise I'll end up spraining something.

hobo,

I took a look at the game Tremulous
and its looks so cool. I'm afraid if I started
playing this game, I would most likely be sitting
on my butt next to the computer playing this a lot.

here is one youtube video on Mountain CLimbers:

hobo,
today and most likely after I get off Socoder.
Its gonna be my heavy duty workout.

first, I stretch out for a few minutes. And also
do some side bends and leg ups to warm up. Then the high
intensity begins...short but intense, smooth and functional.

(1)isometric chest press
(2)isometric body flex
(3)isometric arm curls
(4) 3 sets of 1-5 reps bench press.
Starting out at a good, lite heavy weight.
(5) mountain climbers!!

then, thats it.

cheers bro
