Xeon and teletubbies

Xeon is finished up to this point. Xeon is a freely available 3d model over at planetquake. you can register once and for free...and then register over at fileplanet once and free.
If you didn't already know...planetquake is a humongus web and resoure site for id softwares' Quake games. There are plenty of wallpapers, models, levels, images, mods and the like. And as well as links to other devottee websites of this game and genere too.
Planetquake contains a lot of information and provides the links to multimedia resources of the Quake games...and in which fileplanet hosts and stores them.
Already I have downloaded 10 3d model packages...most contain md2 meshes of the models and a few contain md2 meshes of accessories...mostly of what else? but weapons.
Also various skins of these models are available and most contain sound and voice effects too.
Some of the 3d models that I have downloaded are Xeonid...I shorten it to Xeon, and it sounds better and more cool. I could've named this alien Oh-Ho but that name has already been taken and is well known in the sci-fi and ufo research circuits.
Other models include Hans Solo, Bob McClane of Die-Hard movies, the robot from the ole sixites Lost in Space tv series...where is Dr Smith or Will Robinson!? Also other models include 2 cool werewolves...one male and one female. And also a cool looking Death Knight riding on a dragon.

In getting back to Xeon....my project is finished...but, its not done, 'done'! Its an ongoing project. He is scary, yes but is so cool looking and the animation frames are very good too.
I though about adding other things, features and creating other animation sequences with Xeon. In the future...I will. Its just that I need to move on and learn more about 3d graphics, 3d programming, animation and especially utilizing right now: Blitz 3d.
In time...I will learn and code with planes, terrains, sky boxes and skycubes, and even whole levels and 3d worlds too. But for right now, I'm on my second challenge and what a challenge it is.
I downloaded what was voted over at and considered by the majority of users over at planetquake as one of the most scariest models. I checked it out and downloaded it. It turned out to be teletubbie...laala,laalaa!
oh my gosh!. that little blue piece of cute and cuddly mutant care bear cub. but you know, after working with teletubbie....they were right!
there is scary...as in being scare and even repulsed. and also even with some tingling of your hair or goosebumps as I first viewed a few times the animation sequence I created with Xeon attacking. Or even the model from the Alien movies. Both gross, scary and repulsive looking.
yet, there is scary as in...being annoyed and getting a sickening and noxious feeling or sensations. seriously. working with teletubbie made me at times feel annoyed and obnoxious. in truth, I hate the teletubbies and I was really
getting down and depressed working with this model.
teletubbie is so annoying and sugarly sweet, that it gave me a sickening and noxiopus feeling. there were lots of times I had to take a break or load and work on another 3d model.

there were times I felt like giving up on teletubbie and working on another model. however...that is the challenge.
The challenge of learning and coding..even with models that I don't like nor care about. To create and utilize both ideas , features and try out all sorts of animation sequences on models...even those that I don't like.
additionally....and especially if you work in a software or game firm: 'work is work' for your boss and your client.
granted, you may have more leeway and choice if you are working as a consultant or free-form artist/animator.
just as with my friend Charlene. She did not enjoy doing the work for Lucas Arts but was motivated for both learning, money, reputation and to climb the ladder as an artist...and also just took it as a job.
She was given a contract to create a fantasy creature
for an up ncoming game for Lucas Arts. She was given $3000 and 2 weeks for the job. She created 4 prototypes of this fantasy ccreature with both low and medium polygons.
Lucas Art reps finally decided on one of the creatures as a rough draft. And with that, she had to create frames of animation for this creature to fly, move, idle sequences, biting, walking, etc. After 25 more modifications and tweaks she finished the job in a week and a half and the LucasArts reps and company were satisfied. Contract complete.
She told me she did not like the creature nor animating it. but that it was for learning, a career ladder, and that Lucas Arts liked the creature.

similar situation with this blue hellspawn from the bottomless pit. again, I don't like and I hate teletubbie...but, I created a cool dance sequence for him.
Who knows? Maybe the next time you turn on the tv and change the channel to the local PBS station...you will see my work and little teletubbie dancing and struting his stuff.

cheers,
power mousey

You got blood and guts in just about everygame now so it all seems kind of normal. I watched telly tubbies once when I was tripping and I found it kind of scary. Theres definitely something not right with giant shower head alarm things talking to babies.

is okay...I know about homework and some other priorities too.

you should see what I'm doing with sugary sickness. I'm creating a cool dance sequence for teletubbie. I have him boppin up n down, bouncin and rappin too.

right now....I like and want to create a program with Garfield the cat tap dancing and eating lasagna on the go. MAYBE... Garfield and Odie playing and dancing too.
