Has anyone ever heard of or used the Pandora Engine?

If so, then what are its specifics.

Yes, its online radio that picks music based on your listening habits.

I actually got a email from them today, I guess they are in money trouble now. Increased fee's by the RIAA.

I think we are talking about two different things. I meant the Pandora Game engine.

Oh okay, we are talking about two different things.

PlayIt!, I don't know. It just sorta stopped being made.

I think everyone realized that a Media Player in Blitz would most likely never work.

No, it worked pretty nicely actually. It was just too much work.

I thought somebody would have said or posted
it. But I'm pretty sure at least one of you here has
thought about it.
I know I have...but, don't open the Pandoras' Box.

cheers,

Sure, it played music, and looked nice, I'm sure. But a Media Player in blitz is just.. well... pointless? No offense meant, though (if you remember, I was on the development team too).

I suppose it was more to push the limit. Any good media player wouldn't be written in blitz.

We did pull off an impressive visualizer processing engine that pushed the limits to the edge.

If I remember right it was performing like 3 million calculations a second.

And we did have some good idea's for it. Built in synchronized lyrics /w recorder, instant search results, and the customization engine was pretty nice.

I see your point. It wasn't pointless, but it sure wasn't the best idea ever.

I was looking forward to seeing the Playit Music Player.

Still, Noone has used the Pandora Engine?
