Same goes for Mobile, too.
It isn't just about writing the game and putting it out.

It's about constantly recompiling the bloody thing, because Apple have changed something and will delete your app if you don't recompile it, even if YOU didn't change a goddamned thing..

It's about trying to market your game in a flood of similar (and usually much better!) games, in a bid to get even the slightest bit of notice.

It's about becoming a spambot constantly banging on about your game, and tweeting to celebrities in the hope that they'll retweet your game.
(This one irritates me the most. Seeing devs that I normally respect, flinging spammy tweets all over the place.. Grrr)

I remember your lengthy blog post about other non technical trouble with Android publishing. I guess one thing that seemed to be good and dev friendly Ouya is also dead. Any and all opensource mobile OS efforts also seem to die soon.
