I don't really need a new laptop, but every other week my sister's reminding us all that her laptop's a bag of crap. I've been saying for months that, if I bought myself a new one, she could have my old one, but she's stubborn and insists that she doesn't want to simply "throw away" her old laptop.. .. Even though she's completely unhappy with it, and can't use it for anything.
Every week or so, I've been checking in on my home shopping catalogue's website, and scanning through the newer laptops. I want something in the "I'm skint" price range, but that's significantly better than the one I have.. No point otherwise.
Finally found a decent looking upgrade, and placed my order.
The site said it'd be here on Saturday, then a few hours after I ordered it, we got an automated phone call saying it's going to be delayed, with no explanation as to why, and no further clues as to when it might eventually appear.
The site still says it's due on Saturday, so maybe the phone call was more of a "it won't be next-day delivery" warning, but .. I dunno.
Bloody ye-olde home shopping companies.. They're not quite cracked up for this new-age technology, are they!!?
Hopefully my new Lappy turns up tomorrow.
