A magnet fell on the back of my hard drive and it's acting funny. Is it done? Can it be destroyed in that fashion??

Define "Hard Drive".. And is your "Hard Drive" a magnetic spinning hard drive, or is it a SSD?

It's a magnetic spinning Drive not a SSD that is acting odd now. Not reading or spinning up.

I have a SSD though and the tool I'm using tells me it has only 61% of its life left when it's less than 2 years old.

Then yes. If it's a magnetic drive, you're in trouble.
