Toaster	Hi everyone I am looking for a new GFX card mine just died tonight. I was sitting in my room listening to music and playing a 3D pool game when it just froze. I was like okay just over heated turn it off and back on.. Turned it off and on and no video just a blank screen left it off for 1 minute and turned it back on it works yay right. Windows starts up and just before it gets to the welcome screen the screen glitches like crazy needless to say I cant get the card to work right since. Wont even turn the monitor on. I am now on the onboard gfx card which is a integrated piece of trash. I need a new CARD!! So I was wondering what the best AGP gfx card was and what if I can get it for under 140 dollars. I tried to start crysis and it was like your gfx card is poop lol. Oh and it might not be the GFX card as well since the keyboard doesnt respond either just everything locks up when I start the computer up. Caps lock and num lock dont respond. Also the power supply might be going bad since it doesnt turn on unless you let it charge. You can actually physicaly hear the capacitors charge. When I take the gfx card out and switch to the onboard it works fine though so either my AGP gfx card just sucks that much voltage or something. Although me and my dad tested the voltage and it wasnt fluxating at all. Just stayed around a constant number. Anyways I want to hear your opinions on whats going on before I decide what to do. Tomorrow i am going to my friends and his gfx card just blew up so I will test mine out in his computer to see if its my card or my power supply. Mog	careful with testing a higher end AGP card (If it requires external molex power from the psu) on a seemingly wonky power supply, as the influx of power might actually push it over the edge. As for a decent graphics card, either try the Radeon 2600PRO (https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814129090) or a Geforce 7900GS (https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150174) Just remember, these cards require alot of power, so a new PSU may be in order. Toaster	Oh I Know I already have a 700 watt PSU with gold plated connectors. I paid alot of money for it when I got it so hopefully it doesn't die on me.. I was looking at the GeForce 7800 GS. It seems to be better for the price range. As for investing in the mid ranged PCIE enabled setup is not available for me yet. I simply do not have the money to get something like that. However my friend is getting rid of his old computer some parts fried and its still got a AGP motherboard but the CPU is much better then mine. -Toaster

Paul	I think That Radeon are going to a version of HD3850 with AGP if you are looking for something powerful. Just noticed your 140 dollar limit, then HD3850 seems to be 240 :S

power mousey	well that integrated piece of gfx trash has lasted longer than your graphics card. My brother is giving me his latest computer since he now has 2 laptops and a desktop at work too. Its an HP computer with Windows XP SP2, CPU of 2.8ghz, 200 gigs of hard drive, 512mb of system ram, and Nvidia integrated GeForce FX 5500. And even a GeForce FX 5200 would be better than my SiS 650 integrated memory on my computer. but someones' trash is anothers' treasure.
