Couldnt you just download PDF for free or do you prefer old school where you have book side of you while you do coding?

Programming C is good one to learn which what I did back old days in 1995 I think! LOL

I always prefer a written book to refer too, and I doubt this version is available for free. Also it's widely known as a classic book - and therefore worth owning

And yes lol I learnt C some years back too! But it's a nice reference for my rusty C skills, from the inventors of the language themselves.

Interestingly (and not surprisingly) intructions for compiling the example code are for Unix.

I could use other software, but thought why not use the similar Linux on the raspberry pi as I work through the book. Works well
