A couple of weeks ago, a Wordpress update informed me that it couldn't update. Apparently new Wordpress no longer works on PHP 4.odd
I thought about it for a while, and came to the conclusion that, 4/5 years later, I never actually DID update the PHP..
dang..
So, a couple of quick clicks later, and Socoder was happily bubbling away on a new upgraded PHP.
I'd spent the previous few weeks trimming bits of code, making database accesses a little leaner, and doing other neat bits and pieces.
My schedule was freed up to make an all new Xmas theme, a new year theme, and maybe even fix up the layout a bit to make things a little less shitty.
Xmas was coming, and everything was looking up!!
..
Then a fuckload of PHP upgrade based issues popped up, I spent most of Xmas week in bed ill, my Cat died, and I've spent most of this week trying desperately to pick up the shitty little bugs that the PHP upgrade caused.
*sigh*
.. I DID plan to update stuff..
Surely that counts for something, right?!
hmm..
DD will probably be happy to know that at least 3% of the HTML-audio-based mudchat beep has been successfully integrated, assuming successfully means that it works in theory, but definitely not in practice!
I just need to do the rest without my brain exploding!
(I totally fudged up the mudchat earlier today, and then spent about 20 minutes holding Ctrl-Z!)
