Hello World!

          Hmmm...
You know when you Google yourself, for the hell of
          it?
          I haven't done that for a while.
I've instead, been assuming that Google Alerts is
doing its job, and occasionally glancing at the
          oddities that it brings up.
Apparently, it isn't, though, as I've just stumbled
upon a whole catalogue of things that Google Alerts
          never told me about.
          Chief among them is this..

Someone out there is "Let's Play"ing a whole series
          of my games!!
          Awesome!!!

Spatial Awareness

Afr0 wants to shuffle his question's
multiple-choice answers around, for a bit of
          randomness.
Seems he's thinking of the answers in items with
co-ordinates, as opposed to memory elements.

Partition Craziness

Spinal's having complicated Partition based issues.
Looks like his "Windows 8 on a separate partition"
option might not have actually done as requested.
          Any advice?
I haven't dared butt in. I know next to nothing
          about partitioning!!

Click Here to Insert Pong Paddle

I can't get to grips with GUI based development.
I know others love it, and a whole industry exists
around this "modern, efficient" style of coding,
          but it's not my style.
Gimme a screen full of text, any day.

GIMME MY MONEY!!!!

A strange event, this week, as Nintendo has decided
to totally freak out over YouTube Lets Play videos.
If you show a Nintendo game, you owe them money,
          bitch!!!
You can, of course, make as many videos of my games
as you'd like. Just be sure to give me a link, so I
don't get pissed off about it like I did with IGN
          that time!!
(...incidentally, this news is a bit of an odd
coincidence, given that I wrote this week's "Hello
          World" bit on Monday!!)

Mailbag

As the writer of a blog titled AGameAWeek, it's
obvious that some people appear to misunderstand
          the concept.
Rather than thinking "good grief, this guy actually
creates a game every week!?" they think "Hey, lets
send him our latest game! He can review it, and
post about it as his AGameAWeek!"
          .. Silly people!
This week's silly person made a game called "Pixel
          Rush"

Procedurally Epic

A lovely little WIP game, with a whole lot of
          "procedurally generated' elements.
          Mmmmm... Random!!

MogDog

This week, Mog decided to create a canine model, to
          go with his meerkat.
          I'm scared of dogs!!

New Record World

In a digital age, it's odd that Vinyl still gets
used, and even weirder that it's popularity is
somehow increasing, over the past few years!
Spinal's found a couple of recent oddities,
including scanning a record to try to interpret the
data, and 3D printing a record.
Quite what the point of either of these are, is
          unknown!
Coming soon : Now That's What I Call Sinclair 48k!
All your favourite ZX Spectrum games, collected
together on a double album for the first time!

End Of

Due to unexpected network issues, I've been unable
to access my NAS drive for most of the past week.
For the most part, I can deal with the lack of NAS,
but it means backing up onto a thumbdrive, and with
all my coding, that poor little thumbdrive's
          getting quite full!
This morning I realised another little issue.
My current "Newsletter Converter" program is stuck
on the NAS drive, and without being arsed to fuck
about getting it online, I've instead opted to use
a slightly older version of the program that was
left on my pre-NAS External USB harddrive.

This version's from December 2010, and the
Newsletter has changed in many ways since then, so
apologies if things look a little weird, this week!
I'll have it sorted by next week.
          .. maybe!

Ooooh, a link!
