Super Obliteration (PC/Mac)
Screenshots

The original game is © 1993 David Papworth (appeared on an Amiga Power magazine cover disk)

Music © 2007 o0Infamous0o

Instructions

This is a simple game - destroy all the rocks (which split) on each level before the timer runs out. Collect powerups (or avoid bad ones) for different weapons, faster or slower shots, shield, etc.

Scoring:-

Large Rock = 1,000 points
Smaller Rock = 500 points
Even Smaller Rock = 250 points
Smallest Rock = 100 points
Diamond = 250 points

There are four control methods available so try to choose the one that works best for you. They are:-

* Mouse Aim and Keyboard
* Keyboard Only (using aim lock)
* Joypad Control (using aim lock)
* Dual Analogue Joypad

To send your highscores to the online board, goto the high scores screen and click on the sync button. Please ensure that you allow the program access through any firewall you may have in place.

Latest Update

v1.02 - Dual Analogue deadzone adjustments.
v1.01 - Extra Lives code fixed (Thanks STompy!)
v1.00 - Initial Release.

Wow I love this game Very fun to play with lots of cool effects. Tho the first few levels could maybe do with being a bit harder.

If you made a version with scrolling levels and some bosses and stuff this would be just like Gunstar Heros

Great job on the remake of this - faithful to the original and yet nicely spiced up with better controls and visuals. Good work

Really fun, and the graphics are a great mix of retro and new. Good job.

Excellent remake. Um.. Nothing else to add other than what's been said above.

Ooh, except... Maybe the HighScore table could work better if each name was only visible once. At the minute "The Fear" is pretty much clogging up the whole thing!

I would love nothing better than to just have a person appearing once in the high scores.

Unfortunately I didn't code the php scripts and don't have a clue about them - I will try to ask the guy who did them to look into it, but he is pretty busy.

This code has been keeping me going for years. lol

Cheers for the kudos, guys.

Hi again.... hopefully the php is now changed to just have one instance of a name in the high score board, so go for your lives - there is plenty of room for everyone now {touch wood} etc.

With new "One name Once" scoreboard, I give this game a 5/5!
Excellent remake, top notch, great stuff!

Congrats, Caffeine, on getting your game into Retro Gamer

Retro Gamer, Issue 43, page 99

Even if it did take them a while!
