rockford	Are you a Nintendo Ambassador? Do you even know what one is? If not then you - a) didn't buy your Nintendo 3DS before August 12th b) didn't go online before August 12th c) haven't been paying attention to Nintendo newsletters. Anyway, as you know Nintendo dropped the price of the 3DS by about half, pissing off those early adopters. As a "Sowwy" Nintendo are "giving" away 20 free games for 3DS to download. 10 are old NES games and 10 are GBA games. There are some good titles among them, but anyway the first batch of freebies is available now. Although you probably didn't know that and if you did you probably couldn't find them, as nintendo buried them deep within the eShop. Getting them is a fecking hassle, but it doesn't take long, it's just a highly repetitive process. Anyway, if you're interested, follow these steps 1. Turn on your 3DS, ensuring WI-Fi is on and connected to the net. 2. Log into the eShop 3. Click on "MENU" 4. Scroll down to "Settings/Other" 5. Scroll down to "Titles you've downloaded" 6. Scroll down and you'll eventually get to a set of 10 NES titles. 7. Click the "Redownload" button and then select "Download" 8. After the title has downloaded, click "Continue" to get more of the games. 9. Rinse and repeat from 3 over and over and over. 10. You'll now have 10 shiny new games to unwrap on your launch bar. 11. Don't forget to download the Ambassador Certificate thing too - it's a Notification program for freebies for Ambassadors. CodersRule	Thanks for reminding me. It figures I'd remember the day before they came out, but completely forget about it once they did come out. edit: must say, these are pretty nice games. It is a good thing we are getting them for free.

I'm not too familiar with the situation, but as far as I recall wasn't the annoyance caused by the price being dropped by a large amount a relatively short time after launch due to poor sales? -=-=- A mushroom a day keeps the doctor away... CodersRule	A lot of people are annoyed at buying it early because there was really no benefit; no games have come out yet. I don't really give a fuck. I like my 3ds.

rockford	TBH I didn't/don't care about the price drop either - I knew it would happen sooner or later. I bought the machine because I never got a new DS after my DS Phat. I wanted a newer machine and it was the newer machine. I know that whatever happens, Nintendo will release games like Zelda, Metroid and Mario etc. for it. Those three franchises alone justify me getting a new Nintendo machine - anything else is just icing on the cake. The freebies are just bonuses to me.
