waroffice	I wrote this over the course of the afternoon. Runs in a BASH terminal. feel free to play around with it. #!/bin/bash # Check socoder.net for updates since last run # waroffice 22/02/2013 - not much work done this day! ## Get index and suppress output wget -O index.php https://socoder.net/index.php >/dev/null 2>&1 ## This bit below removes the ever changing header ## the sed command searches for the first argument the the d command deletes the line. sed '/<h1>Socoder/d' index.php > testing.file ## Read last changed MD5 and test for differences OLDMD5=$(cat oldmd5.txt) NEWMD5=$(md5sum testing.file \| awk {'print $1'}) echo =============== if [ ! Jayenkai	You don't need to refresh the entire home page. The sidebars on the homepage are actually AJAX enabled, and keep refreshing themselves! I actually bothered to code that bit!! -=-=- ''Load, Next List!''

waroffice	I just managed to copy the socoder.net index.php file on top of my own page at ag33k.net, luckily had a backup at hand! #ifail --- really? i didnt notice. mind you I tend to close the tab
