    Did everything turn out as planned?

    Nope.

    I started learning Unity, but decided that it wasn't for me, at this time.
    Perhaps in future, I'll bother to try it again, but right now it's not quite compatible with the sort of things I'm working on.

    Instead, I hopped back on the Monkey-bus, and have been there ever since.

    Yep. So far. Seems to be working well.
