Was jotting down things for this week's newsletter, and decided to keep back a YouTube vid for next week. Clicked into "Next week", and noticed the date..
...fuck.. next week's newsletter is the Xmas newsletter!!!

So, I got that one started, and have filled it with festive Tubage in preparation.
Then I headed over to Sainsbury's and did a big Xmas shop. The usual gubbins. Turkey, gravy, stuffing, roasters, Steamfresh veg, things like that.

Shocking, the price of a turkey..
Even more shocking was the price of iced fruit Xmas cake.
.. no cake for me, this year.
Those fruit-cake slap bar things used to be 99p when I was at work. Now they're "on offer" at £3.50?! Fuck that! It's only been 4 years!!

*sigh*

I also glanced through chocolate tubs, and they've all shrunk. What used to be a 1kg tin is now only 750g.. and it's roughly twice the price.
What's going on!!?

I blame Brexit.
Xmas is ruined!!!

Turkey is OK - very dry tho especially on the ensuing leftovers days - but we're having roast pork this year. Balls to tradition I'm not paying £20 for a Turkey then having to force-feed it to myself every meal for the next four or five days.

Screw turkey, I prefer chicken, duck or gammon/bacon joint myself.

Good luck catching that reindeer Mike!

I'm working nights all over Christmas (again), so I won't be having a full roast anything on the big day itself. Being in bed during the day and getting up and stuffing turkey down by throat for my "breakfast" isn't something I've ever fancied before and don't fancy starting now. And if I did I wouldn't want to then get ready to go and work a night shift.

It'll be an early Xmas dinner on Xmas Eve eve probably. No sprouts will be harmed in the making of it, I can assure you!
