Checking In - April 2019
How are you?
How's life in general?
How's things going?
Things at home are settling down, and so Mum's wanting to head off on little day trips and things.
We had planned that 2019 would be her "Year of getting away", with at least one little excursion every month, but things haven't exactly gone to plan, so far.
We're determined she's going somewhere in April, but where?
Journey planning can be difficult when you're not really sure on the destination!
.. And can be quite depressing, sometimes, when you're the one having to organise it, whilst you're also the one who isn't so much as getting out of the house.. :/
Meanwhile, I'm continuing to code my Shoebox of Games, and generally watch a lot of YouTube content, because.. *shrugs* What else is there?!
How's everyone else?!

Things are going along okay over here, could do with more money coming in from work as things are getting more expensive in general so I'm pondering about a few options with that, wandering where / if I'd fit in with other local developers, so far I've always been a solo dev & designer, never used github, etc!
We've all been down with some bugs over the last week or so which hasn't been the most fun but getting past that now thankfully.
Triston and Layla are doing well at school and enjoying their swimming lessons. Julie's enjoying her gym classes and I'm looking forward (albeit a little nervously) toward helping run a local code club for kids every other Saturday.
Web / Game Dev, occasionally finishes off coding games also!

Things are fine here for the most part. Not coded or played anything for a loooooong time, due to... everything else getting in the way and just general lack of time. Not motivation.
I've had persistant coughs and colds since before Christmas - as soon as I start getting over one I get another - mainly contracted from the people I work with and my son. Grrrrr.. Achoo! Hack Hack!!
I'll be driving upwards (a little bit) this weekend as I take the family and dogs to Weybourne, near Kings Lynn for a short break with, hopefully, very looooong walks and plays. Not planning on paddling in the sea though...
Hopefully it'll be a little warmer next week, but as long as it's dry that's good too. If it's neither warm nor dry, at least I'll have a laptop stuffed to the gills with stuff to watch - might actually get to see Star Trek Discovery at long last. Maybe.
The cottage I've rented supposedly has broadband, so I should still be around. Maybe.
