Don't go suggesting a Boulderdash is "Better" without getting Rockford's approval first!!

Nothing beats Boulderdash. NOTHING!!!!

Although, TBF, the recent BD games have been shit.

That looks abolute crap! My RockRush game from twenty years ago looks better IMHO - https://dosgames.com/game/rockrush/

And XmasRush for you Festive folks - https://dosgames.com/game/rock-rush-xmas-edition/

Both playable and downloadable online and for free (with level editors too).

Maybe I'll do a clone of BD as a future project, maybe you'll approve, you never know!

In all seriousness, there's not really miuch you can do with a Boulderdash clone, other than add a few new elements and improve the graphics. Gameplay wise it's got to be the same, or it isn't BD. Which is exactly why the recent BD games are so crap - they removed the speed and risk element and added too much new stuff (and made the graphics awful - poor old Rockford doesn't even resemble a ghost of his former self nowadays) - lookee here - https://www.boulder-dash.com/deluxe/ He can now use a Jetpack FFS!!!!

I think eveyone should have a go at making a BD game tbh. The more, the merrier!

My game (The Need For Friction) already has a similar movement to BD, wouldn't take much to convert it.
