I like the look of it but can't do VR, I can almost guarantee I would blow chunks.

Most of us remember Dark BASIC, when it came out. Simple 3D FPS example would do in my head, and the matrice example that looked like an ocean with waves would really do my head in and affect my balance. I cannot do 3D. VR, I may never walk again, guess the saving grace would be the battery pack in your back pocket would likely explode and put you out of your misery fairly quickly...

You guys.. *tsk*
If even I can manage basic vr, I'm sure you can cope with more than that. The main issue for me was cost of even testing.
Quest 2's dropped back down again, to the price it was when I bought it. It's still a lot to "find out"l but it you ever tried those Google Cardboard or Labo or such devices, I can honestly tell you, the difference is night and day.
My only nausea is physical head-motion based.

Hard to describe what I get. Matrice example because of the ocean affected my balance, like being on a boat. I am fine on a boat all day, while I am ON the boar, but as soon as I hit land, I feel like the land is rising and falling and takes 15 minutes or so for my body to orient itself.

Now, FPS 3D, very hard to describe what I feel. If you shook your head really fast for a few seconds, your brain/head just doesn't feel right. That is how my head feels looking at a 3D FPS, and it will stay feeling like that for 2 weeks. Also get like that if we are driving and I try to turn my head and look behind me, and that can last for two weeks.

Now, with a 3rd person 3D game, I am FINE! Not a motion thing as I can have ultra fast 2D flying all over the screen and be fine. Something with the perspective of a 3D FPS.

Never any nausea.

Used to love amusement park rides and there was nothing I could not ride. Took my stepson to the amusement park last fall, and after one wooden coaster, I pretty much tapped out. More of a too old and it hurts to get jarred around kind of thing, not to mention stresses the heart.

Only rides I could handle were these old style like the scrambler, tilt a whirl and round up (once rode that 12 times in a row and was not dizzy, and rode it several times in a row last fall, no issues).

Oddly, the 3D FPS issues and looking behind me is something that has plagued me since the 90s and was fine with DOS FPS and even PS1 FPS games. In the early 2000s, I was put on an IBS medication that is a very old medicine and is also used for motion sickness and I take it daily. Still have the issue when taking that medicine.

I will not be buying one, but once the new AR headset comes out, it will be fun watching people walk into shit. Watching people walk into shit while playing Pokemon Go was a blast.

@Jay
I tried a 3D TV in Currys and nearly fell on my arse and even got nauseated when I tried my mate Stuart's Nintendo 3DS, it makes me feel a proper bell end mate.

Also if I walk alongside moving water I lose my balance and onlookers would swear that I'm pissed.

I can manage smaller devices like the 3DS, but .. yeah, our 3DTV didn't get used for 3D very much. Doctor Who 50th Anniversary was alright... .. I think that's all we ever used it for!!

For me it's moving my head side to side. Playing games on the TV brings that up way more than watching TV/Films do.
I imagine I'd be no good at this particular game, either, to be honest, since it, too, would require me to look around way too much.

But.. If it comes to Quest, and has a demo, then.. Maybe I'll give that a go!?! After all, I was alright playing the Star Wars game, up until stormtroopers started shooting at me from everywhere!
