Not remotely impressive unless they would actually record like The Beatles.

Geeze.. come on, Kuron.. Time moves on.
If the Beatles were still recording, today, they'd be using just as much technology. Heck, they LITERALLY ARE!!!

They are trying to make a big deal of trying to be like the Beatles by using the same instruments. That is completely missing the point of the magic.

1. The Beatles would sound good with any instrument.

2. Sgt Peppers (one of the greatest albums ever recorded) isn't legendary because of the instruments used, it is legendary because it was done on a Four Track. This is why this album and the techniques used to get past the limitations of a four track are taught in every major recording school.

Any kid in his Mom's basement with the latest version of Pro Tools can turn out something decent sounding no matter what instruments are used if they are a competent musician.

Speaking as somebody who much of his life has been spent as a musician and working in studios as a studio musician, doing production work and engineering. Also ran sound for live events for many years.

Andrew and Rob have been doing "First of October" every year bar 2020-Covid, since 2019.
They're not "Trying to be the Beatles" .. They've been doing "An album in a day" as just part of Andrew's crazy challenge based music making stuff.
Andrew also does the "Four producers, One Sample" series, as well as crazy amounts of music going back before even YouTube, when his "SongsToWearPantsTo" website took off. .. He'd ask people to send crazy ideas, then make songs from them.

Pink Fluffy Unicorns is one of his more popular of that era, and .. good grief, even that's 13 years ago!!!
Rob's taken a similar path, and the two of them eventually got together to create the "One-day-a-year" band, First of October. They go into a studio, and create what they can in the space of a day, as just another crazy "thing to try". Not "To be the Beatles".

This year, they've done it at Abbey Road, just because Rob thought it might be fun.
They were going to leave it until their 10th anniversary, but .. If you watch the video all the way, you'll see that Rob makes a reference to an unspecified health issue. There's been rumours that he's been unwell for a few months, but I think this cements it.
Again, not "to BE the Beatles", more that this is kind of a dream, and they're doing it now.

I can only go by the title of the video and the title screen as to their motivation.
