Ive had to go out and buy a new printer (HP Envy thing)... I never had one anyway, and very rarely need one, but, I needed to print a 4 page form out right... So I went to a mates, no ink in his... So I went to my brothers house, no ink... Went to one of my other brothers house... NO INK... WENT... WENT to my local and asked the landlord if I could print them out on his... NO FUCKING INK!!!

Went to Argos... Bought a printer... WITH INK!!!

Rolls in at £10 a bloody page... Cos I'll probably never use it again! :/

Gutted!!!

I got an HP ENVY too a few months ago - it's really nice (fairly quick with good quality printing, even photos) with completely free ink for 9months.

The Canon Maxify ones are pretty nice instead, just be sure ( as with all personal printers nowadays) to disable any automatic updating. The updates are 99% of the time there purely to prevent you from using remanufactured cartridges.

(Looks at the HP debarcle of late)

This is why I bought a laser, and stocked up on toner cartridges, too.

Never having that fucking problem again.. winds me up!!

Yeah, lasers are great for most things except for high quality photo reproduction in older models. Super speedy too!

Shoulda emailed your doc to me - I'd have printed it and posted it to you.

I have a Samsung mono laser for everyday use, and an A3 Epson XP950 injket. Costs about £60 to fill up both of them. Epson will do about 300 pages on a fill-up, Samsung about 2,500 pages.

Never thought geezer... But cheers though!

To be fair, cost of ink isnt an issue really... Considering the fact I have nowt to print 99.9% of the time, but, I've got one now so, if the need arises again, well, I'm sorted arent I!

Yep if the ink hasn't dried up and knackered the print head!

Yeah, dry ink's what's killed a bunch of my "it'll be handy to have around.." printers.

.. he says..

Until this morning when Mum asked me to print something out, and for some stupid reason the printer isn't playing ball, today.
FFS..
PC can't seem to connect to the thing.
Bah, humbug.

|edit| Just a network issue, apparently.. Back to normal again |edit|
