Bittorrent used to stream movie to theater

https://torrentfreak.com/movie-theater-streams-2k-resolution-film-using-bittorrent-090711/
The Northern Research Institute seems to have managed to stream a movie to a movie theater over bittorrent. Like the article says it allows independent filmmakers to compete with the big companies.

But next to that I think it's a great way for (smaller) movie theaters to show more different movies, so they wouldn't have to buy the movie from the maker but pay for each show instead.

OMG! Cinema + torrenting movies! Quick, call the MPAA!!!

Sounds like a good plan, and indeed, it'll allow more cinemas to play a variety of the smaller indie movies.
So, yeah, cool!
