Waited in until about 1:30 but it never turned up so I guess I will have it next week unless it got delivered while I was out. I guess I will know when I get home.

I got home and it's not here yet, looks like I'm waiting until after the weekend but that's better than waiting another 4 months.

I suppose I had better start looking at tutorials coz I want to do some machine level stuff, bare-metal programming is what RPi should be about not just Linux on yet another machine.

9572AD Port Android to it if you want a project.

I think someone else has already.

They're working on it at least. There are a couple of hobbie ports floating around, but without access to the gfx libraries they remain sluggish and jittery. There is word of an official ics build, there's a youtube vid showing it off, but there has been no news since the original announcement.

Just got back from the school run... Still no delivery.

|edit| I thought Parcelforce 24 was supposed to be a 24 hour thing. |edit|

It's still early, yet. My postie doesn't get off his arse until early afternoon... say about HALF ONE, or thereabouts.

It's not being delivered by a usual postman, it comming by Parcelforce 24. It should get here eventually, I just have itchy finger syndrome that's all.

Come to think of it though, I think it may have been about 11:30-ish when the original one arrived.

I hope it arrives soonish though coz I've got to go out again soon to pay the rent and stuff, I don't want to have to go around trying to track it down if a missed-call card gets posted coz our delivery office is complete bollocks.

Oh well!, it never turned up.

The bloomin' thing still hasn't turned up. When I checked the tracking number the system didn't show any info, I checked it today and it now states it has been tracked at Gatwick and expected delivery for 5th of November, that's fucking yesterday.

The '24' in the name Pacelforce24 is a real bad issue of false advertising, 24 what?... 24 fucking years most probably.

|edit| Gatwick is less than a half hour drive from where I live, it would probably be quicker for me to go and get it myself but they would probably come out with some bollocks like it's already on the van or something. |edit|

Or is it indeed Arsel-Farce

Just got it out of the packet and the bastards have replaced it with a 256MB model, the other one was 512MB but still, better than nothing I suppose.

Now let's plug this thing in.

So far plugged it in, it crashed my TV set, I had to unplug it and then re-plug, during POST screen first time but I have now got it into desktop mode.

Yikes! It's not sounding great, but it is at least good to know that this one's working!

It's been running in desktop for more than 5 minutes now but let's see what happens when I start using some processing power.
