Suffering quite badly again. This is certainly some rollercoaster!

Had to be tested yesterday and that (obviously) came back positive (got the results a few mins ago).

It's incredibly difficult to focus on anything and on the very rare occasion I pick up my phone I find all I can bare to look at is this little corner of the world. I can't look at news sites or Twitter or anything else. There's so much shit out there.

So thanks guys for giving me a little light relief now and then. Will make it up to you all when I'm better.

Take care,

Andy

And finally back home from hospital and chilling out with the family. Love watching The Goonies but there's something really special when you can sit and enjoy it with everybody.

Still a long road to full recovery, but at least I'm in a happier place now.

Hope you're all doing ok.

He's had COPD for years, plus a heart problem. Covid-19 on top of that was just too much for him to deal with.

This week's Clap For NHS was a lot louder on the street. Even Stroke lady and MS lady were out. It was really quite lovely to see so many.

Wow, they have only just brought that in?? It should have been done months ago along with stopping international travel.

So, the PM did his speech. Linkage

I *think* it's probably sensible enough.
Open up those industries that can't work from home, keep an eye on stats, more later.

I don't exactly trust them to do the whole "keep an eye on stats" bit, though.

There were loads of mixed message there - eg Lockdown hasn't ended, but you can go back to work, roam the streets as long as you want etc. etc.

I admit, I believed in his gratitude to the workers that kept the country afloat - not just the NHS. That was pretty good to hear.

Well, today marks 1 calendar month that I came down with Covid-19. I doubt I'll update about it again here as we're (hopefully) all on the mend now.

Physical activities still render me completely breathless and cause coughing for hours. Not much I can do about that as lungs are painfully slow to repair. When I was in hospital I (desperately) signed up for the Covid-19 drug research trial - randomly picked to trial an anti-malaria drug. Yeah, that didn't go well and started to trash my liver - so that was stopped after 3 days. Apparently, my liver is now just starting to improve!

Wife and daughter are still struggling along but in general doing better than myself. Doctors believe that our other children are almost 100% guaranteed to have had the virus with little to no symptoms. Hoping it stays that way.

I have to say, the nurses and doctors that treated me in hospital were amazing and I can't thank them enough. Special mention has to go to the doctor who taught me to breathe with reduced lung capability. I can't believe how much this helped and is probably what sped my way out of hospital.

Reading news about the easing of lockdown measures makes me quite nervous for friends/family. Yes, it has to be done but we all know what the British public is like. Just look at what happened on VE day - OMG - IDIOTS!

Anyway, enough of this from me. Take care, be safe.

Glad to hear you're on the mend Krakatomato.

So far, all good down here, have been back at work proper for just under a month now, done a lot of walking to and from work to raise vitamin d levels from the sun, keeping the 2m away thing going along there and back. Have been able to see the kids again for the first time in nearly 2 months which was emotional. The reversible skirt I made for Layla fits her well and she loves it. Triston is all good also, which is a big relief!

But walking there and back is 30km which takes a bit out of me when walking to / from work is ~15km during weekdays. I really don't want to use public transport unless I absolutely have to. Still, lots of walking distance on Pokemon Go as a bonus I guess!
