Your Task

You have until the end of the month to do something creative using the words above.
You can do anything you'd like. Draw a picture, take a photo, write a poem, make a game, compose a tune, film a video.
Literally anything, as long as it's creative (and as Safe-For-Work as is possible!)
Be creative, and add it to the thread of creativity.

Be as inspired as you can from the list of words.
You may use as few or as many of the words as you'd like, within your creativity, and can post as many things as you wish throughout the month.
There are an additional set of ideas, below, automatically generated from the list of words, which may or may not provide additional inspiration.

Let the Mind Poke inspire you.

When you post anything creative to the thread, be sure to leave an inspirational word, which will be gathered and used for next month's Mind Poke.

Will there be voting, and a "Winner"? Possibly. But only if YOU make it worthwhile, by showing your creativity.

Three AI Generated Videogame Ideas

In this retro videogame, you play as a contractor who is misunderstood by their employer and disallowed from completing their work. As a result, you must outclimb the competition and find exotisms in order to prove your worth.
-=-=-
Wibble, a young and misunderstood contractor, is disallowed from climbing the city's tallest buildings. So, he outclimbs them secretly, learning the city's exotisms and gaining a following among its people. But when the city's authorities discover his secret, they split him from his followers and ban him from the city. Wibble must find a way back in and save his friends from the city's harsh laws.
-=-=-
Wibble and Split are two unlikely heroes who must outclimb the evil forces that are trying to stop them from reaching the top of the mountain. Along the way, they'll face many challenges and obstacles, but with teamwork and a little luck, they'll make it to the top

LOL. I only said Wibble as a joke - the whole idea when it was first mooted made my brain hurt!

I do have some ideas though...

Titled "Wibble"

Created as an excuse to figure out how animation works in my drawing program.

Just realized I'd misread Exotisms as Exorcisms...d'oh!

Well, wibbly ghosts that split up still hooks into two of the words at least.

Just gotta finish off making this dress tonight then the coding will begin proper Thinking some pseudo random maze within mazes game based around a young childhood favourite of mine.

If I start off with a screen like this, but with nicer tiles, then fill gaps in based on proc gen, add some enemies, floor types, etc then I reckon some sorta game could appear.

So, there's 50 places walls could appear, maybe rng a certain number of them from a seed, choose the nicest ones and stitch them together into a world / labyrinth

With a swift bit of tiling, here's more of a concept.

Thanks, There's no code written yet though But I reckon by changing the tiles and some rng rules I could make something in 32kb again perhaps.

Collect Diamonds, avoid slimes. I guess those also would split into smaller forms if hurt. The slimes should be semi-transparent and vulnerable. Maybe flickery ghosts are invulnerable and can pass through walls.

Ohh, maybe the player shoots arrows and range is based upon how long you charge a shot for. Perhaps shots should be limited per screen even.

Been years since I watched that. Saw it at the cinema and thought it was alright but never watched it again.

Had no idea there were two versions. Is there a streaming service with both?

Our new best friend, JustWatching suggests there's no way to watch it for free, at the moment.

Over on iTunes, the "iTunes extras" says that it includes the directors cut. .. not sure if that means it includes the original, too, though.
*shrugs*

|update| *buys it* |update|

The theatrical, plus the director's cut, plus a commentary on the theatrical, and a few other extras.

Definitely watch the theatrical release first. You can then just watch the last 20 minutes of the Director's Cut - it's really only the ending that differs. And boy, does it differ!

Just found out that Danny John-Jules is in the movie too, as is Miriam Margoyles! Wow!
