Question of the Day : November 1st

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Fri, 01 Nov 2024, 04:40
Jayenkai
Right here!!

.. Well, maybe a little closer to shops and the like. Though it is good to have a bit of a walk now and then, it sure would be nice to be able to nip round the corner and find a giant supermarket instead of just a little convenience store.
Don't get me wrong, A.J.'s is a great little shop, but fresh fruit and veg isn't exactly a speciality!

Alarmingly there's about *checks* 17,000 Lidl's in the nearby area, but none of them are exactly a brief walk away, and the closest one as-the-crow-flies, is about 20 minutes when you consider there's no short cut to it, and you have to go in and out of various estates to reach it. Which is really bloody annoying.
Grrr.

Oh, and Mum hasn't found a nearby hardware store, either.

Less dreams, more nightmares, if I'm honest.
We're all fooked.

Question of the Day : November 4th

How do you cultivate resilience?
Mon, 04 Nov 2024, 03:07
Jayenkai
Usually use a petri dish for that kind of thing, right? And put it into one of those temperature controlled chambers to get it to grow at the right speed.
Give it a couple of days. Should be nice and cultivated by then.

Depends what number we're going up to here but, in secondary school, taking many, many variants of TRON - Lightcycles during breaks and lunchtime, then playing it with schoomates was nice

I once half made a 2 player version of Sensitive, left-right split screen in AMOS on the Amiga. Had to come up with a non-blocking way of loading the leves because the thing was so damned slow.

Question of the Day : November 7th

How do you differentiate between love and attachment?
Thu, 07 Nov 2024, 03:56
cyangames
I don't
Thu, 07 Nov 2024, 04:07
Jayenkai
Love is like when you eat a cake, and it melts smoothly in your mouth.
Attachment is when you eat one of the leftover halloween sweets and it sticks to all your teeth.

Question of the Day : November 8th

How often do you update or change your workspace?
Fri, 08 Nov 2024, 01:57
Jayenkai
If by "workspace" you mean my position on the couch, very rarely.
If you mean "the building in which I sit in that position on the couch".. Once every 37 years or so.

Not much, although I am thinking about getting a KVM switch so I can switch between lappy and compy with ease.

If it gets to the wee small hours in the morning, the Air Pods go in, the volume goes up, and they key-tapping continues.
