Mmmmm..

Also. up for Ginger and Lemon.. But Down for Coffee, there. I'd rather that be an Iced Tea
Monin/Routin syrups also go well with iced coffees, and I used to buy loads of bottles of those, in oodles of different flavours, but kinda stopped buying them when I switched to the Beanies Sachets instead.. Just lazier that way I guess.

I would be dead if our house was 35c inside!

Nearly all houses over here have some sort of AC... Might be worth investing in one Jay.

Coding time has once again plummeted to ludicrously low levels.
Saturday's meant to be even hotter.
Good grief..

It's inside the Porch.. That porch is ... crazy!!!
Even the sensible thermometer, though, hit about 29 degrees, and that was in the living room with the giant Amazon Fan in the room!

With that low humidity you could get a swamp cooler, normally only good for dry climates (like South Australia), it uses water to cool down the air.

Which part of the UK are you in again Jay?

Wigan, slightly further west than Bolton. Our bungalow is almost on the exact same horizontal line as the old house was!!

According to this page, the average humidity dropped to about 35% around the time I took that pic, so.. Yeah, it went there!!!

And today's supposed to be "the height" of the heatwave, so god help us all.
Good luck, everyone!!!
Stay cool.

Oooooh, the lovely cool British weather has returned.
There's rain in the clouds, a chill in the breeze, and air in the air!

That’s a lot nicer!

Does your home have many windows that get direct sunlight? If so next time the hit rolls in get some external blinds or something, even cardboard will help.

Yeah, the back of the bungalow gets MASSIVE sun all morning. My bedroom and the dining room both face the sun for a good number of hours, to a blinding degree! (South Easterly, and on a slope so the sun comes RIGHT in!!)

My bedroom's got nice blackout curtains that do a mighty fine job. .. And in fact, I just bought some nice new ones on the Amazon, last week.

For the dining room, though we do have blackouts, we typically let the sun in. It's really quite nice, shines right through the house, and makes everything nice and glowy
When it's "too" hot, opening the front door will usually let a bit of a breeze in.... Except.. The past week or two has been a case of "Breeze!?! What breeze!!"

By about 1'ish it gets vaguely visible again in my bedroom, and then by 4'ish it's round the front, burning holes in the living room blinds!
The porch gets it about 3'ish, which is roughly when the insane temperatures were photographed.

As far as "external" goes, I think we're still in the "is it worth it for only a few weeks of the year" camp.
.. But, bloody 'ell is it getting bad.
This is definitely the worst summer we've had in a long long time, and they're suggesting it's going to get warm again, next week.
