I'm not 100% sure when it happened, but KORG Gadget appears to have grown a "Import from Midi" option!
Oooooh!!

Timme to try out my old Lotus 3 midi file!

SoundCloud Linkage

It's not perfect.
It loads as nothing but piano instruments, and you need to fiddle about with all those.
Once done, it's "playable", but it's missing all of the pitch bends.
Quite why KORG Gadget finds pitch bends to be difficult, I'm not sure, but they're not easy to add yourself, either.
I usually rely on "really fast note switching", which gives the illusion of a shitty pitch bend.

Still, it's a feature, and it mostly works.

For comparison, this is what the original sounded like through a Yamaha XG soundcard.

and if you want the midi file, you can find it here

Yeah I noticed Gadget got Midi import. Was in the last update I think. I have not used it yet. I stil have dozens of midi files from my Cakewalk time that I can use now.

I fear that gadget will stop working on the old ipad mini in the future now with the ios 10 update. I hope not though!

The Lotus song is pretty great. Nice bass!
