So... the idea seems a bit random; a pea collects diamonds while running from ghosts on what seems to be a piece of wood. So random in fact, that if I didn't know you, I'd think it was a Japanese game.

It's a entertaining, nice distraction, and gets quite tricky when you get up into the 40's or so. One problem: I discovered an easy cheat. You can 'teleport' your pea by moving your cursor outside the window, and back in somewhere else. I doubt that can be fixed though...

Anyways, cool; I'm proud to hold the #2 slot on the highscore board.

Not anymore!

I already know, and as you said there is nothing I can do. For security reasons I can't see the mouse outside of the Window.

But I also don't mind and see it more as one of those tip bugs you can use to take advantage of the game. It's also a tricky thing to do because when it gets really crowded you need to keep track of the Ghosts around where your starting from and where your moving too.

I was number one, but it appears I've been dethroned by a significant margin

Not a bad game, but I grew bored and eventually killed myself... or rather, killed the pea, not myself!

1. Yeah, sounds! Most importantly, it doesn't seem to be doing anything when you hit a gem.
Add a "ping" when you pick one up, and rather than fade it out, make it vanish, and have a nice "collected!" circle expand where it was..

2. Different ghosties. A nice "shoots across the screen, never to return" kamakaze type would be good!

3. The collision's not perfect. I don't mind "Not pixel perfect", and I'd much rather have fairer collision.. But... It's a teensy wee bit "too" fair.. Prevent boredom by not making the player think "That probably should've killed me!"

Sounds have been a consistent request, I will look into adding them.

The collisions have been tweaked, but it would be WAAAAY too hard if you had realistic Pea-to-Ghost collision detection. It stays.

What if you gave the ghosts a glow?
The inner bit would collide, but the outer wouldn't...

Hmm, you could probably fix the mouse issue by doing a line check, from the current mouse coordinates to the moue coordinates of the last frame. If that lines is more than, say, 10 units long, you could try a line collision check, instead... or somthing.

What mouse issue?

The "outside the game" thing

I don't see that as an issue. Infact I even think it adds something to the game.

Besides if you move the mouse really quickly then it will think you've just made an invalid mouse move, and the movement will all fuck up.

I also think having the Pea stop following the mouse under some condition will be more confusing and be a bigger issue for people.
