hi everybody,

well...I finally downloaded Windows Media Player version 10. It finally downloaded. again....again I say I should get DSL or Broadband!

so with the installation of the new version of Windows Media Player 10. I forged ahead last night/early morning looking for songs to download over at Walmart.com.
I found some, sampled them and tried to add them to the cart to download on a song by song basis...but I didn't have an account. I tried to sign up for a new account but the site keeps hanging up on and have prblems creating a new account. retried 5 times.
I did use google search engine for online 'paid' music downloads but a lot of the sites require you to download their software for jukeboxes and extended shopping services and experiences.
Can anybody help me for a music download site where I can pay on a song by song per basis, and without a monthly or yearly subscription, and also I do not...do not have to download any more of their software??

thank you,

wmp 10 or 11? I don't think you can call it the "new version of Windows Media Player 10" when wmp 11 already came out (which would be newer), as i stated in a separate topic.

yeah,

you're right, Instinct. But, version 10 to me is new since I found out I have been using version 8 of Windows Media Player.

I'm eventually going to get an MP3 player...but still keep my portable cd player, though. I just want a site where
I can search and download all kinds of songs: ranging from classical to sentimental 50 and 60 love songs(yes!..I do like some of Pat Boone songs. I..I get weirded out by them ) to a whole range of bubblegum rock, pop, disco, rock, heavy metal, and also dance and some hiphop music too.

hey, I'll check out those sites. thank you.

cheers,

Walmart got their technical act together and restored and resolved the problems in their website for creating and accessing accounts.

I downloaded my first song and for only 88 cents.

The song is Walking on Sunshine. Its a remake of the popular version in the eighties by Katrina and the Waves. I really like this version better.
I'm also going to download Electric Avenue, and also looking for Matthew Wilders' Never Gonna Break My Stride,
Tacos remake of the popular 1940's song Puttin on the Ritz,
the Party's smash hit of Thats Why and Farrell and Farrell songs of People In a Box and Jump Up.
I'm also looking for Randy by Blue Mink, and also the song Back When My Hair Was Short too. Oh yeah, also Jackie Blue and Beach Baby too. true.

cheers,

I downloaded 'Break My Stride' by Matthew Wilder.

The full complete version wasn't available but the Karoke version...with Matthew Wilder singing too...was available.
ahhh!!!, with this song, memories of Garfield the cat and his lasagna too. And of Odie and John. I have a lot of the Garfield books too.
I don't know...but every time I hear and listen to this song, it reminds of Garfield and eating his lasagna too.
I couldn't find Puttin' on the Ritz by Taco but I downloaded a version by the Countdown Singers. Sounds really cool.
