It wouldn't surprise me if Nintendo actually cancelled Zelda WiiU and made it exclusive to NX. Zelda WiiU is not going to attract any new WiiU purchasers. It could detract from NX purchasers. They can spend more man-hours polishing Zelda NX, rather than compromising.

Admittedly there are plenty of WiiU owners out there (about three), so sales could be good..

Howeverr, who would buy Zelda WiiU if they are considering getting an NX, which will most likely have a better version?

I am disappointeed with the Zelda news, but I'll probably get the NX anyway, so... I've got too much to play and do at the moment anyway, so it suits me fine.

As for NX, I'm glad it's coming out next year, rather than rushing it out this year. Hopefully the software line-up will be better at launch, with decent full games, rather than severely broken rushed games.
