Roger Federer is go(o)d.
But he is not alone.

The moderators over at Devcrunch.com are removing all links to this website.

They are doing this because they have worked so hard trying to get everyone to go to that site, and they don't want people to leave before their whole site is up and running.

I myself played a part. Whenever people asked me "What's with CW? Where do I go?" I suggested that site instead of this. That was silly of me. I won't do that again.

Allow me to post the following rule.

We are not at war with Devcrunch.
We are not playing "Piss of the Devcrunch mods".
If anyone continues to do so, they will be recieving a big-red "I pissed off the Devcrunch mods" badge. 3 Red Badges = you're banned.

We will leave them alone.

Everyone got that?

Good.

And remember, if you're banned from there, no Xmas Compo for you.

I have just deleted my account from devcrunch...

Didn't they just remove part of the post in that because the topic was unnessesary? |edit| Although, I suppose, deleting a link to SoCoder was unnessesary! |edit|

Or is this happening everywhere?

Anyway, Jay, you posting some "No Devcrunch bashing" rules is very noble, considering the actions of some extremist pro-Devcrunch supporters (mainly on gabbly, impersonating people). Perhaps Devcrunch should post a similar rule about no SoCoder bashing? *(A hint to whatever Devcrunch mod may check here eventually)*

|edit| Wow... I cheesed them off already. I thought when I posted, the issue was what normal people thought, not the mods. It wasn't really focused on DC vs SC. It was finding out what each site was really about... Oh well... Red badge for moi? |edit| |edit| Ooops, take it back. Didn't read the friendly PM! Even so, Jay, feel free to slap me with your choice of rather large fish. |edit|

"P.s. go here " is obviously spam, and was truthfully deleted for that very reason.

I have no qualms about the removal of that post, and believe Ingenium only posted that topic to cause trouble.

I don't think the Mod's over on Devcrunch need to create a "No Socoder Bashing" rule. 99% of their members don't even know what Socoder is.

but I think it's really unfair that they're deleting socoder links. just look at poedgirl's post here.

What if this were not a hypothetical question?

And? She made the editor, it's a topic about IDE's and it's her site. It's also only mentioned once. This sounds more like nit-picking then anything else. Just let it drop, that's why the DevCrunch moderators are getting rid of the links. To drop the issue.

I think HoboBen's topic is the only one which I feel shouldn't have been changed, but this is after a long instance of SoCoder mentions/spamming (whatever you want to call it) and they want the issue dropped. All other instances I have seen of SoCoder mentioning (such as Ingeniums earlier) has looked like spam. I thought Ingenium's topic was acceptable, till he edited it.

Just drop it.

Idigicon vs. Blitz Research anybody?

Seriously, guys (/girls), everyone grow up a bit. You're bickering like pre-schoolers. Why don't we just accept that there are two different sites, and go and do some coding or whatever? Coding is fun, bickering is not.
