There is a new chat. A competitor for chatGPT. Free for now it seems. U
It is from huggingface.

The news just reported Starcoder is the largest code llm of this moment.

It is from huggingface.

I asked it for a segmented line collision that returns the collision coordinates.
It gave me a whole bunch of explanations and the code. The explanation text may contain some formatting mistakes.

Currently having a conversation with one of Poe's latest models. The Google-PaLM model.
..
And, boy is it weird..
I asked it to write a poem using a limited list of words.
It cheated and output a poem using any words.
I asked again, using only the list.
It tried again, and failed.

I asked it again..
Then it output the following.

Poe has a beta going for claude 2. Their most advanced model. It can make output of up to 75.000 words. It has 1 free use per day I think.

Maybe there is some kind of large code listing or large creative writing thing that can be triggered with a right prompt?

Maybe a large math function library can be outputted at once?

Bard is now available in the netherlands. It has a button to let the text be read out in audio. English and dutch all ok. The dutch voice has issues with bullet points and such though.

Fore regular homework and study it seems to be pretty ace.

I think chatGPT is stil the best coder.

Claude 2.0 is now available for free, whilst it's in Open Beta.
Linkage <-- Claude's own site.
Like Pakz says, Poe.com also has access to Claude 2.0, but it's more limited. The actual site is currently completely free.

I fed Claude my calendar for the year so far, and this is what it came up with..

I've made 27 games so far, this year, by the way. Don't listen to it. It's a liar..
Also, it misunderstood what the JNKPlat website was.
.. Also, I forgot I did that. Damn, I need to make that Level Editor, huh..?

Here is a new Llama chatbot from meta. The 70billion model. (This particular chatbot version based on the 70b version linked below has only 13 billion parameters)

The previous one is being used on the raspberry pi and such and hundreds of variations have been made.

I just asked it to write a pathfinding(astar) algorithm in javascript and it seemed to have no problem in making that. Untested but it looked sort of ok.

Max of 3000 word input and output iirc.

The Opera browser now has their own chatbot, named "Aria".
You need to register with Opera and log in before it'll let you use it, but otherwise it seems to be free to use without any further faffing about.

It suggested that it has data up to 2021, so it seems like it's either specifically using ChatGPT3 or it's an incredibly good clone of it!!

Just posted a chunk of code (for the upcoming Asset Maker) into ChatGPT, asking if it could optimise it at all.
First thing it optimised was my apparently "slow" security testing technique to double check everything text-based sent to the server is valid and secure.

If I copy and pasted that, as is, I guarantee the server would be at risk within hours!!!
Fuxake, ChatGPT...

All the AI's are being equally as useless, for me, this week.
Been trying to get AI to convert html/javascript canvases into a Windows .ico file.
Most of them are recommending greatly outdated functions that require additional hoops to get to work.
One even recommend I add a 13Mb image-handling javascript library into my engine that's currently about 120kb in total.
Yeah, sure, ok..

Most attempts have been completely fruitless.
There's one that's "almost" working, in that it is at least creating a file called icon.ico with all the image data in the file.. .. But the file doesn't work in the slightest!!
*ugh*

... And I've been stuck doing this for a good couple of days, now.. You know when you go "I should just move on to the next task and come back to this later", but also go "... Aww, but I bet I could get that to work, somehow", and end up stuck in an endless loop?

*ugh*

I have been getting some Jamagic source sorted and asked GPT if it knew Jamagic and could help with the source. Says it knows it. I haven't got stuck yet, but if I do, it will be interesting to see what it comes up with.

It certainly helped me with full justification when working with RTFs in PureBasic.

I'm getting health knowledge out of it. The fact that these llm's are said to start replacing a lot of healthcare is ok I guess.

I discovered I had been a chronic pain patient since my youth. Having a serieus back issue causing a lot of constant pain. Just asking and reading things is starting to explain my life problems.

Now I can start adjusting my life and start learning to explain it. In stead of just being (seen) weird. I can start explaining the causes.

ChatGPT can now use the mic for free users. This on phone and tablets afaik. Should be able to converse with it now? No idea what it can do yet. The demo features a female voice.

The server is too busy here. So it does not do anything yet.

Mum wanted a machine to chat with in her language. That might be possible soon.

Bard was updated on several places on the world with their new deepmind ai.

The top teir version stil is only a few percent better than gpt-4. There are several funny video's on the useage. One with a kind of data of star trek sounding and behaving ai, interacting with the user on video.
