Vectorballs Demo

another classic demo effect

vectorballs.zip
Screenshots
Vectorballs is an oldskool demo-effect where 3D points are represented as shaded balls. They are sorted in the proper order and then displayed on a 2D screen. The BlitzBasic source files are included.

It is used in some graphics demos from the late 80s and early 90s. There are (as far as I know) only 2 games that use this effect, namely Ecstatica for the PC and Vectorman for the Sega Megadrive/Genesis.

During the demo you can press:
ESC - quit
1 - select cube
2 - select BdR logo
3 - select house
4 - select F1 racecar
5 - select WWII biplane
6 - select shockwave robot
+ - hold button to zoom in
- - hold button to zoom out
A, S, D - hold button to increase rotation on X, Y, Z axis
Z, X, C - hold button to decrease rotation on X, Y, Z axis
F - freeze rotation
SPACE - reset zoom factor and rotation speed
