UpsWhat did you get done this week?Did everything turn out as planned? AGameAWeek has been shifted forward to next week, because it spiralled out of control, and became inexplicably huge. If I don't get it done by this week, it can bugger off, 'cos anything that takes me that long usually ends up being a bag of crap. *shrugs* I also have 6 unfinished iOS projects, all of which have niggling issues that need sorted. Rather than fix each thing, I appear to be just leaping from game to game, trying to put right what once went wrong. DownsWhat didn't you get done?!? Having done my 2 hours worth of email/forum/newsgroup/reading/posting/checking, I finally sat down to code this morning, at 11am, only to have my "Do the Worklog!!" alert pop up on my screen. Sometimes, far too often, I really can't be arsed doing all these scheduled things. Doesn't help that I'm also in a REALLY musical mood lately. I really don't know why I'm being so musically productive.. it's really not like me at all! View on YouTube less gamey stuff, and more music stuff = unusual Jay times.. NowWhat are you working on right now?Sheep Goes Left How's that going? So far, so good. Perfectly on schedule to completely fuck up in about 20 minutes, or so, leading me to start yet another project. NextWhat's the plan for the week ahead?Probably should sleep. I haven't posted in one of these for a long time... had quite a lot of work, what with exams coming up in the next few weeks. In the meantime, I've been working on-off on a program for a competition at school, but have given up, on the grounds that it's an undoable task, given the constraints of the competition. We were meant to write a program to find the shortest path between two Wikipedia pages, but the only feasible way as I see it is to brute force it. I'd been trying to write a program to use some heuristics to do it, but the amount of information you have to download is horrendous, and processing it is even harder because of the limited data you have. Anyway, my latest attempt to improve download speeds broke it entirely, and, after all the time I've spent on a competition I cannot win, I've chosen to give up. It's sapped months out of better project ideas (who remembers me rebuilding Zombie Snowmen?), so I give in.
