So, I'm getting back into flying model planes.

Just got a 2.4 GHZ system to replace my other identical 35 MHZ one. Just did a mode 1 to mode 2 throttle stick conversion an the user manual states that it needs to be done by a service centre, service centre?, my arse!

Here's my original 35 MHZ handset, notice the telescopic aerial difference to the stubby one on the 2.4 GHZ one.

Cool!
so.. um.. 2.4Ghz is the wifi frequency, right? Would that not be busy, and prone to interference?

It's protocol is different to cellphones and the system is tried and tested since the late 2000s. Good thing about this is it's bind and fly so no idiots can shoot down the plane from another transmitter.
