Socoder -> Off Topic -> No Poaching

If you come along to this website, and say "Hey, everybody! Let's all go to XYZ site!!"... Then I won't mind. Heck, I've got a link to other forums on my "CodersWorkshop?" page. (Where is Everybody?)
If there are other communities, with other people to interact, then that's always good.

I myself have recently been spending lots of time over at the PALib.info forum, learning all about DS Dev, and occasionally interacting with previous CW members like CaffeineKid and Spinal.

On those other forums, however, there are rules against poaching. It's usually shunned upon to start topics just for the purpose of grabbing members for your own forum.

If someone says "Is there a forum with such and such a feature" then you can sure as hell jump in and say, "Well yes, this forum here has this that and the other". The moderators have no reason to complain if that's the case.

However...

Going to Devcrunch and PM'ing it's members, asking them to pop along over to this site. That's a no-no.

Everybody got that?

Good..

I've been getting reports of people PM'ing members of Devcrunch. I'm not naming names. Magicman hasn't been named but if you have been doing it, stop doing it.
