April was my month off, and apparently that also extended to my Worklog postings! whoopsy!
Let's get back on track, shall we?

Ups

What did you get done since then?
  • Half a game
  • a full game
  • another game
  • a tumblr site
  • and I just started another game.

Did everything turn out as planned?
NinjaDuckiOS is kinda not quite there.
i'm not sure what it's missing, though, which is annoying.

Puzzobomb's done, and already in the AppStore
Matrix Blaster's over in the Showcases

    Downs

    What didn't you get done?
  • Not a lot!

    ?
Having started a tumblr blog for AL, I've now started posting random doodles and musical pieces to the blog. Whether I can keep up the rate will depend entirely on how long I can make random pieces of music without completely running out of any apparent lack of musical talent.

    Now

What are you working on right now?
    JNKPlat iOS Test engine thingy.

    How's that going?
    Mmmmm...

What's the plan for the week ahead?
I don't really know, to be honest.
Bumble about, see what gets done, carry on!

h1]Ups What did you get done this week.
  • Finished my first centered page at work (Grafisk Partner (Graphical Partner))
  • Started the Visual Studio project for TSOClient, which will be the final project used to build our first milestone (aptly named OWL (Operation Will)). Yesterday I finished adding all the libraries, as well finding a proper logging library that wasn't 300megs when built (log4cplus).

Did everything turn out as planned?
More or less, but boy was it hard (centering the website, that is)!

    Downs

    What didn't you get done?
  • Nothing, but I wasted a couple of hours (read: more like three) building Pantheios, only to find out that it consisted of like 75 different libraries, with no clear instructions on which to link with in order to log. In fact, from what I could gather, Pantheios isn't even a logging library, you're supposed to use it on top of another logging library as some kind of wrapper. Gah!!

    Why not?

    Now

What are you working on right now?
  • TSO-R.
  • Refreshing my Russian.

    How's that going?
Good! My brother showed me a site called Live Mocha which is really great for learning languages (though apparently not Welsh).

    Next

What's the plan for the week ahead?
  • Get the C++ TSOClient to run the Lua scripts that I already wrote for the C# prototype.

    Ups

What did you get done this week.
  • Nearly finished another mobile app.
  • Lots of gardening and tree felling.
  • Decorating.
  • Fixed the plumbing in my bathroom - toilet, sink and bath all fecked up within days of each other due to a leak down the road. Airlocks in pipes are bastards. Cack filled pipes are bastards too.

Did everything turn out as planned?

Yep, but it all took much longer than expected.

    Downs

    What didn't you get done?
  • Well, I didn't win the lottery as I'd planned.

    Why not?
The machine chose the wrong numbers. My numbers were right though.

    Now

What are you working on right now?
A MineSweeper clone with loads of themes and achievements
    How's that going?
    Very nicely, thankyou.

    Next

What's the plan for the week ahead?
  • Work, then sleep. I'm on nights.
  • Finish everything I ever started (like that'll ever happen!)
  • Find more things wrong with the house to fix.

    Ups

What did you get done this week.
  • Rewrote my old javascript animation code after stealing ideas from DD's animation code.
  • One final
  • That's it.

Did everything turn out as planned?
Not exactly. I'm not happy with the final, but I don't really care anymore. Just want them done.

    Downs

    What didn't you get done?
  • The list is too long.
  • Games to play.
  • Books to read.
  • Code to write.

    Why not?
    Finals.

    Now

What are you working on right now?
    FINALS.

    How's that going?
    I'm going insane.

    Next

What's the plan for the week ahead?
  • More finals!
  • Packing.
  • Leaving the city for the summer.
  • Beginning coding for a project I've had on hold for too long.

    Ups

What did you get done these past few weeks?
  • Updated blog software
  • Fixing new blog software
  • Finished an assignment
  • Reverted to a dual-boot instead of a triple boot
  • Reformatted music player
  • Install new system
  • Install every individual package for said system
  • School work
  • Reading through random texts

Did everything turn out as planned?
Sort of. I was expecting things on my blog to break here and there, but not on such an extreme scale. Fixed now, and a new theme to go with it.

The change of booting was suggested by a friend, and seeing as Windows was wasting so much space, I thought, "Why not?" So I emptied both Linux and Windows from my computer.

I wasn't expecting to reformat my music player, but when it crashed during a file transfer (which pretty much corrupted all the files), I used another computer to format it. And now I can manage my music player from nearly anywhere.

Instead of letting OS X fill up the space that I had made from removing the bloat I had before, I decided to experiment with Arch. That sort of threw off the schedule, since I somehow got entirely distracted by it, installing everything (necessary) just to have something graphical to look at. I now have a nice shiny looking system that runs much better than my other one. I just tend to break it a lot...

I browsed many random sites, and read some random texts, not that they were school related. But it kind of helped with ideas generation.

    Downs

    What didn't you get done?
  • Some work
  • Drawing anything
  • Website work (for another person)

    Why not?
I got carried away with Arch... But I was able to cut corners here and there. As for drawing, I've just pushed things back again.

This website that I've designed for this person is technically done, but there has been some advice as to what should be changed. Besides a few fixes, I haven't touched it a bit.

    Now

What are you working on right now?
    Erm... A short story.

    How's that going?
I'm getting ideas from all over the place, so I think it's going quite well.

    Next

What's the plan for the week ahead?
  • Finish 2 assignments
  • Hand in both assignments fully completed.
  • Sketching
  • Blogging
  • Sleep
