Dabz
@Poll... very rare i get called Michael, its usually Dabz, Dabhand, Dabzy or Mr Hand! close family call me Mick, Mr Ancell calls me Mike, though usually when people call me Mike, it never registers and i tend to stand there looking pig ignorant, until i realize they are talking to me! My surname is a pain... Denathorn [den-ah-thorn]... bloody murder when talking to someone on the blower! To cap my impromptu tour of my name... My middle name is Andrew, never used though apart from forms... All in all... I’m initially... M.A.D.! hehehe

There are quite a few Ian John Price's out there. I love the first and second mentions on Google - Director. Ex-Director.

There are apparently over 200 Ian Price's in the UK.

Cower
I have yet to find another Noel Raymond Cower, though after 23 years, I did find a second Noel Cower. We are multiplying, but slowly. In general, if you Google for my name, Google thinks you misspelled Noel Coward. And, though I have no idea why, a lot of people ask if I'm related despite our last names being different.

Christopher Alexander Wagner. Unfortunately, "er", as pronounced in American English, is one of my least favorite phonemes.

Nicholas Vaughn Sheets. I've grown to like my middle name. It's after my great uncle; my parents almost gave me his first name too, Lillard.

Neil Balmer, nothing special there. Neil apparently means to be good at something or to sit on ones knees, Balmer is someone who makes balmes and ointments... So... To sit on your knees and make ointment. No middle name unfortunately. Here in the north east, the pronunciation is different to the spelling, with the 'l' being said as 'r' and the 'er' being 'ah', so round here we say Barma. Although I sometimes pronounce the l in an attempt to not have to spell it for people, usually doesn't work.

Here in the north east

Oh... Is that North-East of England by any chance, if so... We're practically neighbors and officially the second person I know on online programming forums that lives in the area!

*Should have mentioned... One lives in County Durham.

Possibly. I went to the Coders Workshop meet in Doncaster about 10 years back. If anyone else went, we probably unknowingly met.

If you went and have pics it'd be nice to see them.

I don't get out much. I get out even less, now!!

The chances of you haven't met me are incredibly slim!

James Wallis, which isn't a spectacularly interesting name. Although my parents did give me an extra middle name, else my initials would have been JAW, which they were worried would lead to teasing. Personally I think that would've been quite fun.

I once almost met Joe (and his brother) when he appeared by surprise at my school to give a talk about PMC. I didn't make myself known, however, which I wished afterwards I had done.
