Corsair k70 rapidfire (cherry mx keys)

I never had an expensive coding/gaming keyboard. The one I have now(skiller pro) is also a gaming keyboard but while typing sometimes the key does not get down easy and locks somewhat needing a harder push. I was annoyed by this ever since I got the keyboard.

This new one which I will receive tomorow has those cherry mx keys. I have no idea how good this wil type but when I got my first expensive gaming mouse the difference was quite noticable. Maybe this will be the same with the corsair keyboard. I hope it wil be a great experience.

The price is quite high. I payed 120 euro's(inc. postage)

It has 1 cable and needs 2 usb ports. It does have a usb port on the keyboard itself. Reviews on the site where I ordered it were all very positive.

I don't get why mx keys are such a big thing all of a sudden. I had an old IMB keyboard with those, I couldn't stand the clicking. Give me my Apple keyboard over anything these days, it's excellent for typing.

Just be sure it has a Numpad, and I can code on it.
I’m also a dab hand at fast typing on my iPad's touchscreen, so even without "proper” keys, I can still tappity tap away without issue.

I also have no issue using the Switch's "four buttons" as an alternative to a dpad, nor do I give a rats ass that all my music is "horribly” compressed to MP3, and I’m quite content to use a touchpad instead of a mouse.

Incidentally, the single most expensive keyboard I bought was the Dreamcast one, and I think that was only £9.99,or thereabouts.

I *used* to be able to type just fine on my iPad2. Now, it lags like a bitch and typing at any speed is next to impossible.

Looks like Apple have decided they want me to buy a new one. Which despite my 9yo pestering, is not going to happen.

You can downgrade your ipad down to 6.x then up to 8.x again, giving you a reasonably up to date OS that is a bit quicker than the latest one ipad2 can do. Google can help.
Basically you can downgrade manually to ios 6, then jailbreak, edit a file to say it's a different version, then upgrade to 8.x, jailbreak again, install a patch to prevent it finding updates then you're good to go.

Took 14 hours from ordering to having it plugged in. Windows recognized it and installed the drivers. It seems you only need to plug in 1 usb cable. The other one at the end is a through cable.

There is a lock button on the keyboard that locks the windows keys. A keyboard light button for brightness 1/2/3 and off. A mute button. 4 multimedia buttons. And a nice volume knob. Everything works without having to install the keyboard software. But for the macro's etc. this wil be needed

I noticed I am making a LOT of typing errors. The keys are very responsive. Wil probably take me a while to get used to. I will probably also increase the amount of bugs while coding for a while. If you slightly miss the key and touch another one this one also gets pressed.

The typing does feel like those 90's early 2k keyboards. There is a nice clicking sound!

The keyboard is not made in China but in Germany. They are known for making quality things so I hope the keyboard wil last for years.
