How reliable Gigabyte Graphics card?

5th January 2008

I don't know much about hardware, but I would say increasing memory on a graphics card wouldn't hurt anything too much. Then again, if that requires the entire card to be modified, there could be the potential for many problems. Hard to say, really.

How to get back into game programming?

27th December 2007

Garand: if you want to get into games dev, i recommend you start your projects off as a game. Don't worry about the menus, intro screens, any of that. Just have a player running around on a map, to start your project out. It will probably be a rough shi*snip*

Loading B3D Mesh into Freebasic

19th December 2007

Can FreeBasic actually do 3D? I didn't know that it could - the features listed say nothing about it.
If you know of any way to do 3D in FreeBasic, I'd be interested in knowing how.

Age old Collision problems!

13th December 2007

I think I remember trying to use collision detection for certain things. You might try using UpdateWorld immediately after you move the snowman, as collisions aren't calculated until UpdateWorld happens... if I remember correctly.
You might also try movi*snip*

Plus it can help the creature hear predators better.
I don't know, I think it could still be a natural genetic mutation. They can happen too, without any human intervention (intentional or otherwise). Guess we'll have to see if this mouse's big ears mak*snip*

Hobbies?

5th December 2007

I have some usual hobbies. Music, video games, hanging out with my fionce (however you spell it) :)
I also like to ride my bicycle. I'll occasionally take really long trips, sometimes 10 or 20 miles one way, and then go back. Takes a few hours to do it*snip*

Okay guys, I'm in the chatroom. Somehow I got into the basement, and apparently I can't get out. Nobody explained how to move from one place to the other, and right now it says there's 5 in chat but I can't talk to any of them.
Jay, can you please expla*snip*

Need help with a C# data collection issue

19th November 2007

Well I haven't actually gotten into using XNA yet. I've used XNA a bit, but only following a tutorial, and everything there was complicated.

Need help with a C# data collection issue

18th November 2007

Hey everyone. I've been working on a kind of image editor for quite a while now, which I call SuperTurtle. The purpose of SuperTurtle is to be an image editor / creator that works by using scripts to generate the image, rather than using the mouse and a *snip*

UNFinished Fonts

Coding a caclulator?

Linear Gameplay?

I think making a fully non-linear gameplay is extremely difficult, and forces you to redesign a game. The best example I know of a non-linear game is The Sims, or Sim City, where everything that happens is ultimately up to you. But of course, you're stil*snip*
