I'm surprised that the term "A large community project" isn't listed in the dictionary as "Large failure."
I've yet to see a successful/finished community project.

Blitz Plus?

27th January 2008

I wouldn't recommend BlitzPlus -- there are other better, free alternatives. C# (Or VB.NET), for example. I did buy Blitz+ years ago, and I can assure you that it's not worth the money.

#134 - The Running Challenge

21st January 2008
Jay, on your game, if you hold down escape, then the cat zooms off, then the level number goes up and up and up forever...
Ah, so that's how you get past level 3. Good work, both of you!

Hi Everyone!

Hey MetalMan!
I remember your name -- if I remember correctly you coded an IDE for Blitz, no? Or am I mistaking you for someone else?

Good Music

The panning is really irritating. This isn't something I'd sit and listen to, but I guess it's an alright song for a retro game.

In any case, welcome back Noel! Jay requires 50% of all the profit you make from selling model packs though ;)

How reliable Gigabyte Graphics card?

5th January 2008
He swears by NVidia as he has had several ATI cards break on him, but never a GeForce.
That's interesting -- I had an nVidia card and it broke, but now I have an ATI card which is working flawlessly.

The Super Happy/Merry New Year Thread

I was just outside, firing rockets. I stabilized the rocket with bricks, to ensure that it wouldn't fall, but I think it did. I'm not sure if it was mine, or someone elses, but suddenly, there were lots of light coming towards me. I was really scared, so I*snip*

I could do that, JL. But I still need to come up with a game idea. Brainstorm!
[edit]I made it 1024x768, that's enough, isn't it?[/edit]

Oh my god! It works! I've finally managed to fix this damn error!
This is the final error-less build.

If anyone can bother, then try downloading this first. After that, you can try running my program.
Even if this does work, I still need to find a better way of distributing things.

Phoenix

Physics!

I don't want to include a runtime library; I just want the program to run out of the box :/ Why do they always have to complicate things so much?
I'll continue trying.

I now have a moderately interesting box stacking game. Which is quite entertaining to play around with -- for example building a tall tower and then placing a box between a pair of crates in the middle.

Screen Resolutions?

If my computer was any good, I'd use something like 1600x1200, but for now I'm stuck with 1024x768. Works alright though :)

Hello everyone!
