#130 - The Touching Challenge

19th December 2007

Is this perhaps some sneaky way of getting ideas to your DS games, Jay? ;)
Perhaps I'll enter, if I can come up with a decent concept.

Snake! Need I say more?

New image tags. Suggestions?

16th December 2007

I think that the thumbnails in the showcases should use the same method. They look lovely though! :)

Xmas Avatars!

Now I've made the switch too :)

I wonder if this will fly !.

10th December 2007

[quote]But this has to be genetically altered.[/quote]
Nope. Creatures who live in the desert have big ears to stay cool. Since most of the heat goes out of the head, having big ears releases a lot of it.

Hobbies?

4th December 2007

We've all gathered here for the single purpose of coding. But that's hardly the only thing you ever do, right? Perhaps we've already had a dozen of these threads, but if that's the case, I still don't see the harm in having another one ;)
Personally, ther*snip*

CSS Design

3rd December 2007

It wouldn't be very easy. You could have lots of block elements of different sizes, and use them to pad the text unequally on different lines.

Phoenix

CSS Design

3rd December 2007

Do you want to rotate text with CSS? That's not possible. Do you want a circular margin around the text? That's possible, but on the other hand the code won't be elegant. What are you actually trying to achieve?

Phoenix

LOL, have a look at this... :D

2nd December 2007

Wow, that's special. But let's keep the YouTube movies in the link section instead of filling the forum.

How is everyone?

30th November 2007

I've just found a band to play with so that's why I'm so inactive -- I'm playing the guitar every minute of my free time (except for this particular minute :P). My coding isn't progressing at all, but hopefully I'll continue this weekend.

#127 - The 1 Hour Challenge

29th November 2007

15735 at Forklift_Fred's game :) Jay's game was quite repetitive, so I only threw a few snowballs and then stopped playing :P Eikon's game is my favorite so far, even though I last for about a minute!

Prospero -> That OpenGL Convex/Concave thing.

26th November 2007

I think you mixed up the names; I was the one who moaned about the convex/concave thing.
But now I see what you mean -- and that's not possible, because the polygons still have to be rendered in convex regardless of how they were created. I could use the *snip*

QOTD: Level names

19th November 2007

Do you think it's important for game levels to have names?
It depends on the genre, of course, but take puzzle games as an example. If you have 100 levels, naming them all would take time -- is it worth the trouble?

Need help with a C# data collection issue

19th November 2007

I've worked with Tao.OpenGL in C#, and it's a mess spiced with extra irritation through the need of writing Gl.gl in front of everything GL-related. OpenGL in C++ is much easier to work with. C++ has its own problems though.

Phoenix

This is quite interesting.

Needed: artist for projects

Coding a caclulator?

31st October 2007

What kind of calculator are you after? One that parses a string with an expression, or something that resembles the standard Windows one? I made a simple calculator last year, perhaps I still have the source. I'll have a look...
