About Hardware

2nd February 2008

Even very modern games don't always require 2GB, as long as you have a decent graphics card. I have an 8600GTS (not even top of the line), 1GB of RAM, and I can run COD4 at 1440x900 with shadows on and no slowdown.

USB Hard Drive 40GB?

23rd January 2008

I have a SimpleDrive 120Gb, and It's incredibly handy. Not only do I back up files, but reformatting my computer entirely is a breeze.
120Gigs is more than I'll probably ever need on a secondary drive, and unlike a lot of other external hard drives, this*snip*

Often the former will lead to the latter, in my experience... you can meet girls in very unexpected ways, so keep your mind open. I met my girlfriend through a friend. *snip*

A Pre-Emptive Strike on Whiny Valentine's Day Threads

Success: Meeting a girl online who lives close to me (although not through a dating site, or anything like that), something which I had always been skeptical of.
Failures: None, yet, because my current girlfriend is also my first.

How reliable Gigabyte Graphics card?

5th January 2008
My monitor can go up to 1650 x 1050. Now which Graphics cards would I go for Geforce 8800GT 512MB or Geforce 8800GTS 512MB....both are good
8800GT 512MB.
XFX is also reliable, although EVGA is better.

I use 1440x900 at home, which is a somewhat popular resolution.

Sustainable Development

21st December 2007

A lot of major games uses scripts. This gets rid of compile time completely, once the core of the game is done, because you just edit the script and run the .exe, which reads and executes the scripts on the fly.

Also, weight-lifting, reading, and lately I've been into Rubik's cubes.

My life is currently great, although hectic. Balancing school, sports, a girlfriend, and my various hobbies all at once is harder than I thought it would be. I really can't wait for college!

From the quick look I took, I don't think this Cobra is geared towards game development.

I'd say stick with C#... surely the problem that you were having can be solved with help from someone well-versed in C# and OpenGL. Check on GameDev.net for help.
