I'm not so sure.

Nintendo have stated it won't be undersold, which is a typical Nintendo rule. The price is "at least" cost, and usually a teensy bit more!!

You've got a console spec device, crammed into smaller size. You've then got a (probably touch) 7" screen (presumably at least 640p, whatever the hell that is!?), you've also got a hopefully decent onboard battery, and then two wifi enabled mini joypads each with their own little batteries.
Then there's the dock, too.

£199 doesn't seem feasible to me.

I dunno. The cost of tablets is virtually nil nowadays - you can pick up a decent current Android one for less than a ton. The processeor is the most expensive part of the whole set-up. If they've got a good deal with Nvidia then maybe.

I'll be surprised too, but stranger things have happened. Nintendo really does need to re-attract bums to their seats.

We'll know more for sure come mid-January (12/13).

Probably closer to the time; "Brexit Brexit Brexit blah blah blah £299 please".

I look forward to being pleasantly surprised!
