Can he draw

Yes he can!

Made an account at DeviantArt last night.
Lately I've been raving about Disney and CalArts alot in the MudChat, and I'm sure some of you are wondering if I can actually draw.

Christina Aguilera, Portait:

Pocahontas, based on drawing by Glen Keane:

Another sketch of Pocahontas based on another drawing by Glen Keane:

Beyonce, portrait:

Edit: FFS Jay, did you put in some kinda block against having more than three images in a post?
Jay : No, you shoved a CR (return) after the [imgs] tag.. It didn't like that..

From what I remember (not that I actually ever TRIED to find out) I think Disney animators get re-trained when they start, so that they draw 100% in the Disney style. So, yeah, keep practising, if you ever get your foot in the Disney door, it will help with your re-training, if indeed I am correct.
One thing I do remember, helen told me, once animators leave Disney, they are not allowed to work professionally (as animators/artists) for a few years, as Disney don't want all their innovations leaking out.

Yeah, those pictures are pretty good. (as the others have said, better than anything I could do! ) I guess the trick is to keep practising, working on improving on each picture (working out minor flaws, such as proportion problems), in order to improve. Still, nice work.
