Rocks sprites part 2

More rocks from the last few days. Stil seem to not really understand how to shade them. I installed a simple ad supported 3d modeller on the ipad where I now can see light falling onto objects like rocks.

I noticed a pixel arist mentioning he is preparing a new how to pixel art book. He seems a real pro so I hope to see a book by him. Getting more knowledge as to how to do and learn art is something I really think is important. Those anti alias pixels alone was a great feature to learn about.

I am not sure how much time I wil have over the festive days so I might have a long productive break.

Some nice rocks here.
The layering really helps, I think.
Whenever I draw sprites, I rarely ever layer them, and instead tend to draw everything at once, a bit like a printer. Guess that's why all my sprites have a very.. .. not very good, style!
