So it's exam time for some of you, right? I was wondering how it all went. Any computer science exams, btw?

I dunno if my shoutbox post went up, so I suppose I will put all my info here.

I had S1 (statistics) today, which, normally, is a piece of piss. Today's was a little trickier than normal (TWO probability questions?!) but I hope to scrape an A. I think I got an A in M1 (mechanics) earlier this week.

The only thing that worries me now that I didn't ace S1 (as per the master plan) is that I will actually have to learn C3 (moderately difficult) and C4 (just stupid.) AND do well in them.

Otherwise, no Exeter Uni for me (AAA offer). I reckon I am pretty much guaranteed As in geog and economics because I did surprisingly well in them at AS (last year, 1st half of the A level).

C3 and C4 are in a month or so, so I will be doing a LOT of integration/differentiation/playing with BLOODY trig identities for the foreseeable future!

I've been doing GCSEs for about a week now. We have exams some days, and study leave (stay at home) on days when we have no exams. Next week is half term though, so no exams then.

So far, I've had Chemistry, English Literature, Biology, and the Electronics component of DT, then I have Physics tomorrow. All been going well so far, although I never was a fan of English Literature...

Ah GCSEs.... They seem so pointless now that I am at A levels! As long as you get into a good sixth form

I passed a maths exam at Learn Direct last week, and just started a Literacy course today, then after I complete that I'm doing ECDL.

Seems weird being 36 years old and in effect being back at school.

My last exam was today, Embedded Electronics. Mainly about how to design embedded systems and real-time operating systems.

The exam itself was worryingly easy, two questions were about scenarios taught for us and were word-for-word the same as a set of lecture slides given. One was also re-taught a week earlier during a revision session, as it had appeared on a past exam paper.

The other half was almost a joke. Some minor maths for working out if your can schedule some processes on a CPU or not, and some quite trivial questions about operating systems in general.

However this was an electronics module, not a Computer Science module. I suspect it's because most of it was taught in much greater depth on my other modules that this was easy. Still overall a very enjoyable module.

Luckily no major disasters so far, then? That is good to hear. Well, good luck with the outcome. I'll keep my fingers crossed for some A's.

My last exam was a couple weeks ago, got all As (although one was an A-, which kind of sucks).

I don't get A's for mine, it's degree level.
