It's a shame, but it never lived upto the promises. I bought into it right at the beginning and I never found it to be better than the other languages I was using at the time - PLAYBASIC and BlitzMax. Updates were few and far between and the language itself wasn't to my liking. Speedwise it was on par with PLAYBASIC which was released years earlier and nowhere near BlitzMax speeds. A shame, but at the end of the day the creator didn't support it fully. How can you expect users to be dedicated if the creator isn't?

Assuming you meant to reply to the topic about Cobra (Cobra retires: (Linkage) What I liked about Cobra was it was a bit more strict and structured than Blitz3D was -- no subtle errors caused by typo in variable names. It was a nice stepping stone half way between BlitzBasic and a language like C. Good while it lasted -- made some neat things with it! -=-=- blog | work | code | more code |
